Zambia approves bill to legalise cannabis for medical, scientific and research purposes

The Zambian cabinet has approved a bill to regulate cannabis cultivation for medical, scientific and research purposes. The cabinet also approved a bill relating to a new licensing system to regulate industrial hemp production and distribution. The government hopes that increased trade bought about from the new regulations will benefit Zambia’s economy.
