World Health Organisation say that smokers are more vulnerable to COVID-19

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has reported that smokers are at a greater risk of contracting COVID-19 and of developing severe symptoms. The risk of transmission is increased by the hand-to-mouth action of smoking, whilst an increased risk of existing lung conditions and decreased lung capacity means that smokers have a higher risk than non-smokers of developing serious illnesses from COVID-19.
