World Health Organisation pilots artificial intelligence smoking cessation programme

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has developed a smoking cessation programme which will combine nicotine replacement therapies with an artificial intelligence-based ‘virtual health worker’. The initiative will enable users to develop personalised treatment plans to help them quit smoking. The programme aims to enhance access to digital cessation treatments across eHealth platforms and will be piloted in Jordan.
