US spending on drugs report

A report into spending on illicit drugs in the US has found that last-month cannabis use increased by 30% between 2010 and 2016 with spending on cannabis increasing from $42bn to $52bn. Heroin use increased by 10% every year over the same time period. The report estimates that a total of $150bn was spent on cocaine heroin, cannabis and methamphetamine in 2016.
