UK to reduce sporting bans for athletes who use cocaine or cannabis

UK Anti-Doping (UKad) is due to change its sanctions for athletes found using illegal drugs that do not enhance sporting performance. From January 2021, people found to have used cannabis or cocaine will face reduced bans. Athletes already sanctioned for using those substances will be eligible to apply for a reduction in any current ban. The changes are in line with amendments made to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) code.
