UK publishes adult substance misuse treatment statistics

The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities has published its ‘Adult substance misuse treatment statistics 2020 to 2021 report’. Compared with the previous year, there was a small increase in the number of adults receiving treatment (270,705 to 275,896). More than half (51%) were receiving treatment for opioid use disorder and 28% for alcohol dependence.
