UK investigates ‘New Dual’ menthol tobacco products

The UK health minister, Jo Churchill, has asked Public Health England to investigate a series of cigarettes launched by Japan Tobacco International (JTI) following a ban of flavoured tobacco products in May 2020. Several inquiries were filed regarding JTI’s launch of New Dual products with similar names to their menthol cigarettes. While JTI have admitted that the New Dual products contain menthol, they argue they have not broken the law.
