Tobacco use in Montenegro at 40%

According to a survey on tobacco consumption in the Southeastern European (SEE) region, the overall prevalence of tobacco use among adults in Montenegro is 40.7%. Furthermore, almost 56% of adult smokers aged 18 to 24 smoke daily. To combat the high prevalence rate of tobacco use, the government has committed to implementing further tobacco control policies including tax increases on tobacco products.
