The Netherlands approves gambling data law

The Dutch government has passed a bill requiring gambling operators to provide data for research purposes. The aim of the bill is to improve understanding of the harms associated with gambling. When enacted, the law will require gambling license holders to provide anonymous data on login frequency, player age, transaction history, and signals alluding to excessive participation.  Researchers who use the data will be required to inform the Executive Board and gambling license holder of research outputs.
