Teenagers in three England counties will avoid drug prosecution

Under a new initiative, teenagers in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire who are caught with small amounts of illicit drugs will avoid prosecution and will instead be diverted to treatment or education. Thames Valley Police, one of Britain’s biggest police forces, will roll out the scheme aimed at deterring teenagers from crime and continued drug use on 26 October 2020.
