Taiwan introduces fines for drink-drive passengers

A new law in Taiwan means that passengers in cars driven by someone under the influence of alcohol could face a fine of up to 3,000 Taiwan dollars. The same legislation will raise the fine for drunk drivers themselves from 90,000 to 120,000 Taiwan dollars and extend the licence ban from one to two years.
