Taipei bans smoking in front of convenience stores and cafes

The Taiwanese city of Taipei has banned smoking in front of several chains of convenience stores and cafes. People found smoking in front of those specific locations could be fined NT$2,000 to NT$10,000. Since July, Taipei has designated over 2,500 areas as smoke-free including 24 parks and green spaces.
