South Africa approves BAT take-over of e-cigarette company Twisp
South Africa’s Competition Tribunal has approved a proposal by British American Tobacco (BAT) to take over e-cigarette maker Twisp subject to several trade restrictions. The new group will not be allowed to make agreements with retailers that result in over 70% of retail space being dedicated to their products, nor will the new group be allowed to pay retailers to deny retail space to competitors.
