Smoking and drinking at record low among South Korean teenagers

Korea’s Disease Control and Prevention Agency has reported that, in 2020, rates of smoking and alcohol consumption among South Korean teenagers reached record lows. The proportion of respondents who reported smoking during the reporting period decreased from 6.7% in 2019 to 4.4% in 2020, while those reporting alcohol consumption decreased from 15% to 10.7%.
