Russians told to avoid alcohol for 42 days after receiving COVID-19 vaccine

Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister has warned that people receiving the Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine should avoid alcohol and immunosuppressants for 42 days following the first of two vaccination injections. Russia’s consumer safety watchdog, Rospotrebnadzor, has also suggested that people should refrain from alcohol for up to 2 weeks before receiving the vaccine in order to stay healthy and to ensure a strong immune response.
