Reduction in drug seizures and arrests in Northern Ireland

According to the Police Recorded Drug Seizures and Arrests in Northern Ireland report, drug related offences and incidents in Northern Ireland increased year on year between 2006 and 2020. However, the latest statistics covering October 2019 to September 2020 indicate that levels of incidents across all drug classes were down 5%. Cannabis was the most commonly seized substance, followed by benzodiazepines and cocaine.
