Purdue Pharma files second bankruptcy offer in relation to opioid epidemic

Purdue Pharma has submitted a renewed bankruptcy plan which includes an additional $1.5 billion payment from its owners in the Sackler family. The plan has since been rejected by 24 state attorneys general who have said that it does not go far enough to hold the company's owners to account and to compensate the families and survivors.
