Police in UK town of Birmingham to carry naloxone
Police in Birmingham, UK will now carry a nasal naloxone spray to treat people who have overdosed on heroin and other opioids. The initiative follows a report from the police and crime commissioner estimating that someone dies every three days from a drug overdose in the West Midlands, and that police are often the first people to attend overdose incidents ahead of medical services.
