Philippine drug raids official figures

Data released by the Philippines National Police place the official death toll from ongoing drug raids in the country at 6,600. The new figures highlight 1,600 deaths between January and May 2019, of which 49 were police officers. Other official data report that, since July 2016, 7,867 police officers have been punished for their actions during drug raids, with 2,367 dismissed from the police force. Philippine officials also highlighted that 200 police have been killed and 700 injured in the drug raids since 2016.
