Northern Ireland publishes Alcohol-Specific Deaths report

Northern Ireland’s Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) has released its 2020 Alcohol-Specific Deaths Report which documents the number of people who have died from health conditions caused by alcohol use. In total, 351 deaths were registered; this is an increase of 15 from 2019. Of those 351, 66% were male and 65% were within the 45-54 and 55-64 age groups.
