New Zealand to ban cigarettes for people born after 2008

New Zealand’s government has proposed legislation to ban selling tobacco products to people born after 2008. If the bill is passed, New Zealand will become the first country in the world to implement a “tobacco-free generation” policy. The bill aims to extinguish smoking, reduce the number of retailers authorised to sell tobacco products and reduce nicotine content in all products.
