Mexico City centre introduces smoking ban

Mexico City’s Historic Center Authority has introduced a smoking ban on Madero Street, one of the most iconic streets in the city. No-smoking signs have been installed, and people found violating the ban will face fines of between 896 and 2,688 pesos (approx. £32 to £40) or community service. The restrictions are part of an effort to keep the street free from litter.
