Kenya bans ‘LYFT’ nicotine pouches

The Kenyan government has demanded the deregistration of nicotine pouches known as LYFT. The Health Cabinet Secretary has warned that registering and licensing LYFT products is now illegal and conflicts with the provisions of the Pharmacy and Poisons Act CAP 224. LYFT products have become increasingly popular in Kenya since their introduction into the market in 2019.
