Jersey Youth Assembly rejects recreational drugs legislation

A proposal to legalise all recreational drugs has been rejected by the Jersey Youth Assembly. Under the new proposal, people would have been allowed to purchase any drugs. Those wishing to do so would have had to provide a valid ID and would only have been permitted to buy an amount deemed to be safe for them by their doctor. The proposal was defeated by 17 votes to 16.
