Ireland’s cocaine seizures increase tenfold in 2 years

Ireland’s director-general of customs has reported that cocaine seizures increased tenfold between 2019 and 2021. In the first 10 months of 2021, Irish authorities seized €48.5 million (approx. £41.4 million) worth of cocaine. This is an increase from the €7 million (approx. £6 million) worth of cocaine seized in 2020 and €4.4 million (approx. £3.8 million) seized in 2019.
