Indian parliament passes ban on vaping products
The Lok Sabha, the lower house of India’s parliament, has passed a bill to ban vaping products. If enacted, the bill will ban people from importing, manufacturing, storing and trading vaping products. The bill does not propose criminalising e-cigarette users; rather, it is intended to eliminate the supply of all vaping products. If it is implemented into law, offenders could face a fine of up to 500,000 rupees, up to one year in prison or both.
