Increased cannabis use among over 65s in the US

A US survey on drug use and health reports that the prevalence of cannabis use among people aged 65 and over increased from 2.4% in 2015 to 4.2% in 2018. The rise has been attributed to increased availability of cannabis products as many US states legalise recreational and medical cannabis. The rise has also been linked to the increased likelihood of older people experiencing pain and other chronic conditions for which they might use medical cannabis.
