Hong Kong bans on-site alcohol sales to prevent the spread of COVID-19

The Hong Kong government has banned alcohol sales in restaurants, bars and clubs to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The government stated that the risk of spreading COVID-19 was high in places where people meet face-to-face and was particularly high in bars because customers have to remove protective face masks in order to drink.
