Hawaii Senate Panel approves two cannabis bills

The Hawaii Senate Panel has approved two bills related to existing cannabis legislation. One bill would legalise and regulate recreational use of cannabis, permitting cultivation of cannabis plants for personal use. The second bill would increase the possession threshold (currently 3 grams) already in place under the state’s cannabis decriminalisation law allowing individuals to possess up to 28.5 grams of cannabis for personal use.
