Greenland capital bans alcohol sales to protect children from violence during COVID-19 lockdown

Alcohol sales have been banned in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. The health minister announced that domestic violence had increased since Greenland introduced lockdown measures, saying that excessive drinking was putting children at risk. The ban on alcohol was introduced on 28 March and is expected to last until at least 15 April.
