Georgia restricts alcohol sales during COVID-19 pandemic

The Georgian government has announced that stores selling alcoholic drinks will be closed as part of ‘lock-down’ measures designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The government has released a list of businesses that it considers essential and that are therefore exempt from closure. All other businesses, including alcohol retailers, are expected to suspend trading whilst a state of emergency is in place.
