Funding for addiction treatment technology during COVID-19 pandemic in Scotland

The Scottish Government’s Digital Health and Care Directorate and Drug and Alcohol Substance Misuse Unit and the Drug Deaths Task Force have announced £2.75 million in funding to provide technology for people who use drugs. The funding will be used to distribute SMART phones (and other forms of technology) to help people who use drugs to stay in contact with treatment agencies. The initiative covers the next 2 years and will support a minimum of 2,000 people.
