France overturns CBD flower ban

France’s Council of State announced that the government has overturned its ban on the sale and consumption of cannabidiol (CBD) flowers and leaves. The council argued that the products were “devoid of narcotic properties” and could therefore be legally marketed. The ban was introduced last year following concerns that police officers would be unable to differentiate between CBD and cannabis products that contain tetrahydrocannabinol.
