Fentanyl, cannabis, and methamphetamine use increases in Canada

Statistics Canada has reported an increase in the use of fentanyl, cannabis, and methamphetamine in the initial months of the COVID-19 pandemic. The data are based on wastewater analyses from the Canadian Wastewater Survey. The report highlights that the increase in illicit drug use coincided with an increase in drug-related deaths reported in Canada at that time.
