COVID-19 restrictions delay US opioid settlements

Several lawsuits relating to the US opioid crisis have been suspended because of the impact of COVID-19 lock-down measures on legal processes. Settlements relating to Endo International (ENDP), Mallinckrodt (MNK) and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (TEVA) were due to be reached before a major opioid trial began on 20 March 2020; however, that trial, and therefore the deadline for those companies to reach a settlement, has now been indefinitely delayed.
