Cocaine-related deaths more than double in Australia

Australia’s National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre has reported an increase in the number of cocaine-related deaths during 2019. Since 2016, deaths involving cocaine have more than doubled, from 34 in 2016 to 86 in 2019. Deaths involving amphetamines are also four times higher than those reported a decade ago.
