Cigarettes sales up in South Korea

The South Korean Ministry of Economy and Finance has reported that cigarette sales increased by 5.6% between January and September 2020. Despite this increase, sales are more than 15% lower than during the same period in 2014. Since then, the South Korean government has imposed an 80% price increase on cigarettes to address rising smoking prevalence.
