Charity claims multiple sclerosis patients in the UK are being denied cannabis treatment

The MS Society, the UK’s largest charity for people living with multiple sclerosis, has warned that thousands of patients with multiple sclerosis are being denied access to cannabis-based treatments. Sativex is authorised for NHS use in the UK; however, less than 50% of local clinical commissioning groups offer the treatment, and of the 4,800 patients eligible for treatment, it has been offered to just 630 people.
