Botswana smoking prevalence report
Botswana’s Minister of Health and Wellness has reported that smoking prevalence rates in Botswana are the highest of all countries in southern Africa. The Global Adult Tobacco Survey Country Report estimates that, in Botswana, 1 in 5 adults aged 15 and over uses tobacco. Furthermore, two thirds of adults are exposed to second-hand smoke in bars and nightclubs.
