Australia bans nicotine vaping product imports

The Australian government is to ban imports of nicotine vaping products and liquids from 1 July 2020 unless those products have been prescribed by a doctor. Prescriptions for nicotine vaping products are only permitted for smoking cessation and only when other forms of nicotine replacement therapy have been tried without success. Sales of nicotine vaping products are already banned in Australia; however, previously people were able to import products for personal use from international retailers.
