All South American countries ban public smoking

Following the introduction of smoke-free laws in Paraguay, all South American countries have now introduced bans on smoking in public places. Paraguay’s new smoke-free laws mean that consuming tobacco products is only permitted in uncrowded open spaces. Decree No. 4624 also stipulates that workplaces and public places in Paraguay must be smoke-free and that designated smoking areas are now banned.
