Alaska passes bill for take-home naloxone programs

A bill authorising state-wide provision of take-home naloxone has been passed by the Alaska Senate. Current provisions are due to expire on the 30th June 2021. If the bill is approved by the House, naloxone prescriptions will be approved, and overseen by the chief medical officer of the Department of Health and Social Services from July onwards.
